Terms of Use

Last updated: August 25, 2026

Welcome to Path2Membership (the “Platform”). By creating an account or using the Platform you (“you”) agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not create an account.

1. Who this agreement is with

Path2Membership provides membership management software to martial arts federations and their clubs. Your federation decides what information it collects about you, who in that federation can see it, and how long it is kept. We operate the software on their behalf.

That distinction matters when you want something changed: a request to correct your rank, leave a club, or be removed from a roster is usually your federation's to answer, and we will point you to them. A request about the software itself is ours.

2. Accounts, and accounts for children

You must be 18 or over to create an account and accept these terms.

A parent or legal guardian may create and manage an account for a child under 18. In doing so the guardian accepts these terms on the child's behalf and takes responsibility for the child's use of the Platform. A child under 18 does not sign in themselves and cannot accept these terms.

You are responsible for keeping your password and any second factor secure, and for what is done through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has used it.

3. Using the Platform

Use it lawfully, and do not interfere with it or with anyone else's use of it. Do not attempt to access records you have not been given access to, whether through the interface, the address bar, or otherwise.

4. Your content

What you upload stays yours. Photographs, documents, certificates, signatures and the records you enter belong to you and to your federation, not to us.

You grant us permission to store, process and display that content only so far as is needed to run the service your federation has asked for — showing it to the people in your federation who are entitled to see it, printing it on a card or certificate you asked for, and keeping backups. We do not sell it, license it to anyone, publish it, or use it to train anything. That permission ends when the content is deleted or the federation's account closes, subject to the retention periods in the Privacy Policy.

You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload — which matters most for photographs of other people, and of children in particular.

5. What your federation does

Your federation decides what information it collects, who in it can see that information, how long it keeps it, and how it communicates with you — including any marketing, and including exporting contact details into its own email or marketing tools. Those are its decisions, made in its own systems, and it is responsible for them.

We provide the software. If you want to change what your federation holds about you, or stop hearing from it, ask them; if they will not respond, tell us and we will pass it on.

6. Payments

Fees are set by your federation or club, not by us, and are shown before you pay. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we do not see or store your full card number. Refunds are your federation's decision under their own policy.

7. Availability

We work to keep the Platform running and accurate, but it is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Path2Membership is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from your use of the Platform.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

9. Suspension

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. Where we reasonably can, we will say why and give you a chance to put it right first.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of West Virginia, and disputes will be heard in the courts of West Virginia.

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, this does not deprive you of the protection of your own country's mandatory consumer law, or of your right to bring proceedings there.

11. Changes

We may revise these terms. If a change is significant we will tell account holders by email and ask you to accept the new version when you next sign in. We record which version you accepted and when.
